THE IMPACT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON THE SEX DOLL INDUSTRY
The COVID-19 pandemic changed the way society interacts with each other. We are now more careful about interacting with others and forming relationships through the traditional means we used to before the pandemic.
As a result, we’re seeing an explosion in sex doll sales in developed markets. In a survey of nearly 900 people from the US, EU, Australia, and Asia, 62% of respondents admitted using sex toys. 57% of those that didn’t own sex toys were planning on purchasing at least one by the end of the quarantine.
The results also show that 62% of people that use sex toys say they use them more often than masturbating. Sex dolls are getting popular with younger generations who don’t have the same outlets to meet people as before.
Let’s look at the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the sex doll industry and why it’s seeing a boom in acceptance at the moment.
